Introducing: The Pledges

This one is going to be short and sweet. Hopefully.

There are going to be some new faces around here in the coming days/weeks/months/whenever they decide to start posting. Rather than have their debuts met with the complete indifference that I’ve come to expect from our loyal readers, I figured I’d let you guys know ahead of time what’s going on around here.

As you can imagine, the application process to become a contributor here at HFTE is extensive. However, a few applicants have survived every round thus far, and are now in the “Pledge” stage of admission.

“So, what, they’re contributors now?” you’re probably not asking yourself. The answer to that is no. Not by a long shot. These guys need to prove themselves, and the fact is, we really have no obligation to make them official “Contributors” anyway. Nonetheless, we’re happy to have them here, and hope you’ll welcome them all with open arms.

You can find out more about these guys in the “Pledges” tab above.

About Sgt. Hammerclaw

Sgt. Hammerclaw is probably listening to Alanis right now. You used to be able to follow him on twitter, but he twitter-died. RIP @datpuffey.

Nice photo, Hammerclaw. I’ve got a joke for you; Guess who didn’t make that basket? A basketball player who just failed to make a shot!!!

  2. DJ Jazzy Jeff Weaver says:

Sweet. This is going to be an excellent opportunity for me to use many of my favorite Old School quotes:

    “That’s outrageous, Bill!”

“I don’t think that’s what she meant, Stu!”

“Let’s show those Jews who’s boss, Louise!”

    Classic.

  3. Sweating Mullets says:

First ritual is that all of you must drink a bottle of Old English.

    No, not Olde English.

    Smiley face
